THE RIG
The Dueling Cousins use a 'one of a kind' custom double piano shell, that Jimmy, himself invented, and built with the help of fellow piano rocker James Emley (pictured below). The concept (patent pending) utilizes an clasping mechanism, which connects each panel from the inside with no latches or hooks.
Typically, dueling pianos acts use baby grand shaped piano shells, but this one is in the form of an upright piano, with keyboards playable from both sides. "It is meant for smaller stages, easier breakdown and mobility." says Jimmy.

The prototype was first constructed out of cardboard, to visualize the concept and see how it assembles and breaks down.
